International activity is one thing that marks the Teatro Paraíso artistic team’s identity.

 

With the goal of contributing to developing and spreading contemporary European theatre aimed at younger audiences, Teatro Paraíso has been active in internationally oriented festivals, fairs and seminars since it began working. Throughout its career it has visited stages in the USA, Canada, Norway, Finland, France, Belgium, Germany, the United Kingdom, Romania, Italy, Ireland, Switzerland, Austria, Luxembourg, Holland, Portugal, Croatia, Slovenia, India, Singapore, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Ecuador.

The company is in the AECID cultural catalogue and regularly collaborates with bodies like Instituto Etxepare, The Basque Delegation to the EU and the Spanish Ministry of Culture. Furthermore, it works on international projects with bodies like ICEX, various Chambers of Commerce and business networks like the Europe Enterprise Network.

Teatro Paraíso takes a Pan-European approach to collaboration and works with other stable centres from several countries including: Bjoneteatred from Denmark, Théâtre de la Guimbarde and Les Ateliers de la Colline from Belgium, La Baracca – Testtoni Ragazzi and Accademia Perduta – Romagna Teatri from Italy.

Teatro Paraíso is also part of the European wide MAPPING project (performing arts and early childhood).

We go on an international tour every year where we bring our shows to stages all over the world. It's a 'motor exercise' in which we have to have a high level of artistic excellence when facing the demands of the international market.

We're among the 18 agents that make up the European MAPPING project, financed by Europa Creativa. The artistic research project is based around creating a sensory relationship with very young children between 0 and 6 years old through the performing arts.

MIND THE GAP is a cross-border project done between 2018 and 2020 where agents from Catalonia, Aragón, Navarre, Euskadi, Aquitania, Midi-Pyrènèes and Languedoc-Rosellon come together with the goal of promoting arts education for children and youth.
