Paul is an only child and the king of his household. After the birth of his sister Irati, he is overcome by fear that his parents don’t love him anymore. This fear takes hold of him, threatening family stability.
ÚniKo is a show for all audiences from the age of 6 onwards, which aims to reflect on what jealousy around the birth of a sibling can produce in a child and their environment. Mixing puppetry and deeply realistic theatre, we address the unsettling subject of jealousy, looking at it head-on in all its rawness, although without ever losing our sense of humour.
During the performance, spectators will get to know Paul, his parents, his sister Irati, his grandmother, his teacher and, of course, Richi – his teddy bear, conscience and alter ego. The performance is a family show in the deepest sense, because both children and adults are able to sympathise with the characters and recognise themselves in the situations that play out on stage.
